Is Bad Stress Piling Up?

From the Doctor

Stress is a state of physical or mental strain resulting from demanding circumstances.

Stress can be good and bad.  Good stress is pushing us to new levels, helping us bust through limitations, and keeping us alive.  Bad stress happens when the keeping us alive stress is on constant alert, and builds up too much in the body.

As we roll into August, we feel the weight of change as the days begin to shorten and we know that school is on the horizon.  Summer is a blast, and sometimes we might push ourselves to stress our bodies through drinking and eating much more than we know is good for us, and maybe not the right foods.

We do projects outside that are fun, hard and stressful to our spines.  Shameless plug… chiropractic adjustments support proper communication with the body to help our spines maintain being healthy.

There is little wonder why, when we hit August, we are possibly feeling tired and, or strained. When stress hits, and we can become aware, we can then choose to regroup and focus on our health. We do the right steps to rejuvenate and revive our stressed bodies and minds.

1. Go to bed at reasonable time.
2. Reduce the amount of alcohol consumed.
3. Eat fruits and fresh veggies.
4. Spend time with loved ones who light you and help you laugh.
5. Drink more fresh, clean, filtered or spring water.
6. Breathing practice or meditative/mindfulness practice to ground us.
7. Giving thanks or gratitude for what we have.

“Everything good, everything magical, happens between the months of June and August” – Jen Hann

If you are presently working with us, great!  Stay consistent you will reap the rewards.  I know this because I have patients who started with me, and are going to continue with me when the clinic moves to Middleton, and they are thriving compared to where we started 9 plus years ago. They understand the value chiropractic care offers like families with generations of chiropractic care understand.

School season creates a new season and it’s a great opportunity to set ourselves up for a healthier lifestyle.  Now might be a good time to do some nutritional response testing to get you back on track if you feel compelled to focus on your nutrition.

Everyday is a new opportunity to begin again. Let us know how we might help, besides the way we know we help through consistent chiropractic care.

Stress-Reduction Lifestyle Hack
This month’s lifestyle hack is helping people reduce stress with breathing exercises.  Check out Dr. Matt’s video offering two solutions!

Chiropractic Solutions is Moving
We announced in May that Chiropractic Solutions is moving. Larisa and I have been looking for a place for years, and we found exactly what we were looking for in the Middleton Hills neighborhood.  The clinic will be located directly behind the Pick N’ Save on Century Ave and Frank Lloyd Wright Avenue in Middleton.

The phone number, staff, and most importantly, the care will remain the same.  The new clinic address is:
6737 Frank Lloyd Wright Avenue
Middleton, WI 53562

Our last day at our Muir Field Road space will be Tuesday, August 13.  We will be closed Wednesday, August 14 – Sunday, August 18 for the move.  All appointments on Monday, August 19, or later will be at our new clinic location.

We appreciate and love our neighbors and neighborhood here on Muir Field Road.  We are wishing for a smooth transition and will continue to serve the highest quality chiropractic care in the Madison area.  We look forward to seeing you in our new space!
