What is a MyoVision scan and how is it used?
The MyoVision Scan is completely safe, painless and non-invasive. The MyoVision sEMG ScanVisions read the voltage that the muscles in your spine naturally emit. The scans show areas of muscle tension along the spine, revealing which areas of the spine and nervous system may not be functioning at their best. The scan provides a computerized report depicting these areas on a visual image of the spine that is easy to read and understand. The image on the right is a scan of optimal spinal function, while the scan on the left shows multiple areas of muscle tension along the spine. The color and length of the markers reflect the severity of the muscle tension detected.
Will I need to have multiple MyoVision scans?
Periodically repeating the MyoVision scan is a great way to measure your progress while under chiropractic care and track the changes occurring as a result of spinal adjustments. It only takes 90 seconds to perform a MyoVision scan, and your results are available immediately, so repeating the test is easy. Dr. Matt can even email you an image of your scan within seconds of completing it!
Will it be expensive to have a MyoVision scan?
A MyoVision scan is included in your initial visit, and in subsequent visits at the recommendation of Dr. Matt. If you would like additional scans beyond those recommended by Dr. Matt, there will be a charge of $25 per scan.
